Soma Pavamāna
ఈ సంక్షిప్త పవమాన స్తోత్రం, నలిపి పిండబడి గొర్రెబొచ్చు వడపోతలో శుద్ధి చేయబడుతున్న సోముడు నదీ-తరంగంలా శక్తి, నాదంతో ఉప్పొంగి ప్రవహించుటను స్తుతిస్తుంది. సోముని మధురమైన, ఉల్లాసకరమైన సారాన్ని, అలాగే ఇంద్రునికి పానీయమై సిద్ధమై విజయశాలీ పరాక్రమాన్ని మరియు ప్రేరిత వాక్కును బలపరచుటను ఇది హైలైట్ చేస్తుంది.

अव्यो वारे परि प्रियं हरिं हिन्वन्त्यद्रिभिः । पवमानं मधुश्चुतम् ॥
అవి-ఉన్నం ఆవరణలో, ప్రియ హరి (తామ్రవర్ణుడు) చుట్టూ, వారు అద్రి (పిండే రాళ్లు)తో అతనిని ముందుకు నడిపిస్తారు—తన్నుతానే పవమానంగా చేసుకునే సోముడు, మధుర రసాన్ని చిందిస్తూ.

అత్యంత మదానందదాయక పవమాన సోమా! గో-రశ్ములతో అభిషిక్తుడై, దీప్త కాంతికణాలతో కూడి నిన్ను నీవే పవిత్రం చేసుకో. హే ఇందు! ఇంద్రుడు పానంచేయుటకు అవు—విజయసంకల్పానికి బలమిచ్చేవాడవు.
