Ādityas (collective)
ఈ చిన్న సూక్తం, యజ్ఞం దేవతల వైపు సాగుతున్నప్పుడు, ఆదిత్యులు మరియు అనుబంధ దేవతలను సమూహంగా ఆహ్వానించి వారు కృపతో దృష్టి సారించమని కోరుతుంది. ఇందులో కరుణామయ రక్షణ, సంకోచాన్ని కలిగించే అంహస్ (aṃhas) నుండి దూరంగా ‘విస్తారమైన స్థలం’, అలాగే ఇంద్రుడు, మిత్ర-వరుణులు, అగ్ని, అర్యమన్, సవితృ, అదితి, ద్యావా-పృథివి వంటి మహా విశ్వశక్తులు స్థాపించే స్థిరమైన శాంతి (śర్మ) కోసం ప్రార్థన ఉంది.

यज्ञो देवानां प्रत्येति सुम्नमादित्यासो भवता मृळयन्तः । आ वोऽर्वाची सुमतिर्ववृत्यादंहोश्चिद्या वरिवोवित्तरासत् ॥
యజ్ఞప్రవాహం అనుగ్రహంతో దేవుల వైపు సాగుతుంది; ఓ ఆదిత్యులారా, దయాళువులై కరుణామయులై ఉండండి. మీ కాంతిమయమైన, సమ్యక్ సుమతి మా వైపు మళ్లుగాక—అది సంకోచం (అంహస్) నుండికూడా మమ్మల్ని దూరం చేసి, విశాలావకాశాన్ని తెరవడంలో అత్యంత సమర్థమైనది.

उप नो देवा अवसा गमन्त्वङ्गिरसां सामभिः स्तूयमानाः । इन्द्र इन्द्रियैर्मरुतो मरुद्भिरादित्यैर्नो अदितिः शर्म यंसत् ॥
అంగిరసుల సామగానాలతో స్తుతింపబడుతూ, దేవులు తమ సహాయంతో మా దగ్గరకు రాగాక. ఇంద్రుడు తన శక్తులతో, మరుతులు మరుతులతో, అలాగే ఆదిత్యులతో కూడిన అదితి మాకు ఆశ్రయదాయకమైన శాంతిని ప్రసాదించుగాక.

तन्न इन्द्रस्तद्वरुणस्तदग्निस्तदर्यमा तत्सविता चनो धात् । तन्नो मित्रो वरुणो मामहन्तामदितिः सिन्धुः पृथिवी उत द्यौः ॥
ఆ (శుభం) మన కొరకు ఇంద్రుడు, వరుణుడు, అగ్ని, ఆర్యమా, సవితా స్థాపించుగాక—అదే మనకు ధృడమగుగాక. మిత్రుడు వరుణుడుతో కలిసి మనలను విస్తరింపజేయుగాక; అదితి, ప్రవహించే సింధు, పృథివి (భూమి) మరియు ద్యౌః (ఆకాశం) కూడాను.
