Ādityas (collective)
This short hymn is a collective invocation seeking the gracious attention of the Ādityas and allied deities as the sacrifice (yajña) moves toward them. It asks for compassionate protection, “wide space” away from constriction (aṃhas), and a settled peace (śarma) established by the great cosmic powers—Indra, Mitra-Varuṇa, Agni, Aryaman, Savitṛ, Aditi, Heaven and Earth.

Mantra 1
यज्ञो देवानां प्रत्येति सुम्नमादित्यासो भवता मृळयन्तः । आ वोऽर्वाची सुमतिर्ववृत्यादंहोश्चिद्या वरिवोवित्तरासत् ॥
The offering-movement goes toward the gods with its grace; O Ādityas, become kindly and compassionate. May your right and luminous thought turn toward us, even that which is most able to open wide space away from constriction.
Mantra 2
उप नो देवा अवसा गमन्त्वङ्गिरसां सामभिः स्तूयमानाः । इन्द्र इन्द्रियैर्मरुतो मरुद्भिरादित्यैर्नो अदितिः शर्म यंसत् ॥
May the gods come near to us with their help, praised by the chants of the Aṅgirases. May Indra with his powers, the Maruts with the Maruts, and Aditi with the Ādityas bring us a sheltering peace.

तन्न इन्द्रस्तद्वरुणस्तदग्निस्तदर्यमा तत्सविता चनो धात् । तन्नो मित्रो वरुणो मामहन्तामदितिः सिन्धुः पृथिवी उत द्यौः ॥
May that be set for us by Indra, by Varuṇa, by Agni, by Aryaman, and by Savitṛ; may that be established. May Mitra and Varuṇa enlarge us—Aditi, the flowing Sindhu, Earth, and Heaven as well.
