अयं संक्षिप्तः सूक्तः यज्ञमेव प्रति चिन्तनात्मकं प्रश्नं करोति—बहवो यागविन्यासाः, ऋत्विजः, कर्मभेदाश्च सन्ति, तथापि सर्वं किम् एकस्मिन् सम्यग् यज्ञसङ्कल्पे समवायति? अत्रैक्यदर्शनं प्रकट्यते—एक एवाग्निः, एक आदित्यः, एका उषाः—बहुधा रूपैः प्रकाशमानाः। अनन्तरं सोमपानसम्बद्धं, शीघ्रसहायस्य दीप्त-रथ-प्रतिमायुक्तं च अश्विनोः आह्वानं प्रवर्तते।
