प्र वो ग्रावाणः सविता देवः सुवतु धर्मणा । धूर्षु युज्यध्वं सुनुत ॥
ହେ ଗ୍ରାବାଣଃ (ସୋମ ପିଷଣ ପଥରମାନେ), ଆଗକୁ ବଢ଼। ଦେବ ସବିତୃ—ଦିବ୍ୟ ପ୍ରେରକ—ଧର୍ମର ନିୟମରେ ତୁମକୁ ପ୍ରବୃତ୍ତ କରୁନ୍ତୁ। ଧୂର୍ଷୁ (ପିଷଣ-ଆସନ) ଉପରେ ନିଜକୁ ଯୁକ୍ତ କର; ସୋମକୁ ପିଷ—ଆନନ୍ଦ-ରସକୁ ନିସ୍ୟନ୍ଦିତ କର।

ହେ ଗ୍ରାବାଣଃ, ଦୁଚ୍ଛୁନା (ଅଶୁଭ) ଶକ୍ତିମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦୂରେ ହଂକା; ଦୁର୍ମତି (ବାଙ୍କା ଚିନ୍ତା)କୁ ମଧ୍ୟ ଦୂର କର। ହେ ଉସ୍ରାଃ (ପ୍ରକାଶମାନମାନେ), ଭେଷଜ (ଔଷଧ/ଚିକିତ୍ସା)କୁ କୋତରି ବାହାର କର—ପିଷିତ ସାରରୁ ଉପାୟକୁ ପ୍ରକାଶ କର।

ग्रावाण उपरेष्वा महीयन्ते सजोषसः । वृष्णे दधतो वृष्ण्यम् ॥
ଉପର ଫଳକମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ଥିବା ଗ୍ରାବାଣଃ ଏକସାଥିରେ ମହାନ ହୁଅନ୍ତି। ସେମାନେ ବୃଷ୍ଣ (ଶକ୍ତିଶାଳୀ) ମଧ୍ୟରେ ବୃଷ୍ଣ୍ୟ (ବୀର୍ୟ-ବଳ)କୁ ସ୍ଥାପନ କରନ୍ତି—ବଳରେ ବଳକୁ ଦୃଢ଼ କରି।
