Soma Pavamāna (Indu, the purified Soma)
Este breve himno a Pavamāna alaba a Soma cuando es prensado, purificado y puesto a fluir en una corriente constante, rompiendo las resistencias por su fuerza innata. Vincula el rito externo de la filtración con la inspiración interior: Soma se vuelve el purificador (mārjya) y el despertador del éxtasis heroico de Indra, mientras los propios himnos se derraman hacia él como el mugido de una vaca lechera.

Mantra 1
प्र सुवानो धारया तनेन्दुर्हिन्वानो अर्षति । रुजद्दृळ्हा व्योजसा ॥
Exprimido, el Indu (Soma) fluye en una corriente continua; impulsado hacia adelante, corre — con su fuerza quiebra las resistencias rígidas.
Mantra 2
सुत इन्द्राय वायवे वरुणाय मरुद्भ्यः । सोमो अर्षति विष्णवे ॥
Exprimido, Soma fluye hacia Indra, hacia Vāyu, hacia Varuṇa, hacia los Maruts; hacia Viṣṇu se precipita Soma.

वृषाणं वृषभिर्यतं सुन्वन्ति सोममद्रिभिः । दुहन्ति शक्मना पयः ॥
Al Fuerte, impulsado por los fuertes, lo prensan: el Soma con las piedras; con destreza extraen la leche nutritiva (páyas).

भुवत्त्रितस्य मर्ज्यो भुवदिन्द्राय मत्सरः । सं रूपैरज्यते हरिः ॥
Él llega a ser el purificador de Tṛta; para Indra llega a ser el éxtasis embriagador. El Leonado (Hari) es ungido, conjuntado con formas.

अभीमृतस्य विष्टपं दुहते पृश्निमातरः । चारु प्रियतमं हविः ॥
Hacia él, al amplio asiento del Ṛta, las madres del Moteado ordeñan la ofrenda (havis) hermosa, la más amada.
Mantra 6
समेनमह्रुता इमा गिरो अर्षन्ति सस्रुतः । धेनूर्वाश्रो अवीवशत् ॥
Con un mismo impulso, sin cesar, estas palabras fluyen; las vacas lecheras de la inspiración mugen.
