Sukta 8.39
अग्निस्त्रीणि त्रिधातून्या क्षेति विदथा कविः । स त्रीँरेकादशाँ इह यक्षच्च पिप्रयच्च नो विप्रो दूतः परिष्कृतो नभन्तामन्यके समे ॥
agnís trī́ṇi tri-dhātū́ny ā́ kṣeti vidáthā kavíḥ | sá trī́ṃr ekādaśā́ṃ ihá yákṣac ca pipráyac ca no vípro dūtáḥ paríṣkṛto nabhantām anyaké samé ||
อัคนี (Agni) ผู้เป็นกวีผู้หยั่งรู้ พำนักอยู่ในรากฐานสามชั้น และในหมู่พิธีบูชาอันเป็นระเบียบ (vidathā) ขอท่าน ณ ที่นี้ จงรับการบูชาแก่ “สาม” และ “สิบเอ็ด” และจงทำให้เราพรั่งพร้อม เพิ่มพูนยิ่งขึ้น—ท่านผู้เป็นทูต (dūta) ผู้สว่างไสว ผู้ถูกชำระและจัดแต่งอย่างสมบูรณ์ ขอให้เหล่าพลังอริถูกขับไล่ไปที่อื่น นอกสนามเดียวกันนี้.
