मा नो अरातिरीशत देवस्य मर्त्यस्य च । पर्षि तस्या उत द्विषः ॥

mā́ no arā́tir īśata devásya mártyasya ca | párṣi tásyā uta dvíṣaḥ ||

ขออย่าให้ฤทธิ์อันเป็นศัตรูแห่งความขัดสนและอำนาจอันผิดธรรมครอบงำเรา—ไม่ว่ามาจากฝ่ายเทพหรือจากปุถุชน; ขอทรงพาเราข้ามพ้นสิ่งนั้น และข้ามพ้นเหล่าผู้เกลียดชังด้วยเถิด.
