देवस्य वयं सवितुः सवीमनि श्रेष्ठे स्याम वसुनश्च दावने । यो विश्वस्य द्विपदो यश्चतुष्पदो निवेशने प्रसवे चासि भूमनः ॥
devásya vayáṃ savitúḥ savī́mani śréṣṭhe syāma vásunaś ca dā́vane | yó víśvasya dvipádo yáś cátuṣpado nivéśane prasavé cā́si bhū́manaḥ ||
ദേവനായ സവിതാവിന്റെ പ്രേരണയിൽ—അവന്റെ ശ്രേഷ്ഠ പ്രേരണയിൽ—ഞങ്ങൾ നിലകൊള്ളട്ടെ; അവന്റെ വസുക്കളുടെ ദാനത്തിൽ പങ്കാളികളാകട്ടെ. കാരണം നീയത്രേ മഹാൻ—രണ്ടുകാലുള്ളവരും നാലുകാലുള്ളവരും ആയ സർവ്വജീവികളുടെ നിവാസ-സ്ഥാപനത്തിലും പ്രസവ/പ്രേരണയിലും അധിപതി.
