Sukta 2.26
यजस्व वीर प्र विहि मनायतो भद्रं मनः कृणुष्व वृत्रतूर्ये । हविष्कृणुष्व सुभगो यथाससि ब्रह्मणस्पतेरव आ वृणीमहे ॥
yáj asva vī́ra prá víhi manāyató bhadráṃ mánaḥ kṛṇuṣva vṛtra-tū́rye | havíḥ kṛṇuṣva su-bhágo yáthā́sasi bráhmaṇas patér áva ā́ vṛṇīmahe ||
യജസ്വ, ഹേ വീരാ; മനായതഃ (അന്വേഷിക്കുന്ന ഇച്ഛ)യെ മുന്നോട്ടു നീക്കുക—വൃത്രതൂര്യേ (വൃത്രവിജയ സമരത്തിൽ) മനസ്സിനെ ഭദ്രവും പ്രകാശമയവും ആയ ഉപകരണമാക്കുക. ഹവിഷ് ഒരുക്കുക, യഥാസസി—ശരിയായ പ്രാപ്തിവഴിയിൽ—നീ സുഭഗനാകുവാൻ; ബ്രഹ്മണസ്പതിയുടെ അവ (രക്ഷ/സഹായം) ഞങ്ങൾ വരിച്ചു വിളിച്ചിറക്കുന്നു.
