Sukta 2.13
अन्वेको वदति यद्ददाति तद्रूपा मिनन्तदपा एक ईयते । विश्वा एकस्य विनुदस्तितिक्षते यस्ताकृणोः प्रथमं सास्युक्थ्यः ॥
anvéko vadati yád dadā́ti tád rūpā́ minán tád-apā́ eka īyate | viśvā́ ékasya vi-núdas titikṣate yás tā́kṛṇoḥ prathamáṃ sá āsy ukthyáḥ ||
ഒരുവൻ (ഏകൻ) എന്തു നൽകുന്നുവോ അതിനെ അനുഗാമി പ്രസ്താവിക്കുന്നു; എങ്കിലും അവൻ ആ ദാനത്തിന്റെ രൂപങ്ങളെ മാറ്റിമറിക്കുന്നു. ജലങ്ങൾപോലെ ഏകൻ മാത്രം സ്വയം സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്നു. ഏകനോടു വിരോധമായി വരുന്ന എല്ലാ പ്രതിഘാതങ്ങളും തള്ളലുകളും അവൻ സഹിച്ചു സഹനത്തോടെ താങ്ങുന്നു—ആ ശക്തികളെ ആദ്യം രൂപപ്പെടുത്തിയവൻ; അവൻ തന്നെയാണ് ഈ ഉക്തിയുടെ യഥാർത്ഥ വിഷയം (ഉക്ഥ്യ).
