रदत्पथो वरुणः सूर्याय प्रार्णांसि समुद्रिया नदीनाम् । सर्गो न सृष्टो अर्वतीॠतायञ्चकार महीरवनीरहभ्यः ॥
Transliteration
rádat pátho váruṇaḥ sū́ryāya prá ā́rṇāṃsi samudríyā nadī́nām | sárgo ná sṛṣṭó árvātīr ṛtā-yáñ cakā́ra mahī́r avanī́r áha-bhyaḥ ||
Translation
ヴァルナは太陽のために道を穿ち、海へ走る河々の洪流を押し出した。放たれた放流のごとく、流れゆく水をṛta（宇宙の正序）の筋に沿わせ、また日々のために大地の広き野を形づくった。
