स प्रकेत उभयस्य प्रविद्वान्त्सहस्रदान उत वा सदानः । यमेन ततं परिधिं वयिष्यन्नप्सरसः परि जज्ञे वसिष्ठः ॥

sá pra-ketá ubháyasya pra-vidvā́n sahásra-dāna utá vā sádānaḥ | yaména tatáṁ pari-dhíṁ váyiṣyann apsárasaḥ pári jajñe vasiṣṭháḥ ||

彼は光明の識別者、両界(彼方と此方、天と地、内と外)を知る者。千の豊饒を与える者、またそれを常に保持する者。ヤマ(Yama)の張り渡された境界を織り成さんと欲して、ヴァシシュタはアプサラス(Apsaras)をめぐり包みつつ生まれた—流れる霊感の群れを。
