स नो विभावा चक्षणिर्न वस्तोरग्निर्वन्दारु वेद्यश्चनो धात् । विश्वायुर्यो अमृतो मर्त्येषूषर्भुद्भूदतिथिर्जातवेदाः ॥
Transliteration
sá no vibhā́vā cakṣáṇir na vástor agnír vandā́ru védyaś canó dhāt | viśvā́yur yó amṛ́to mártyeṣūṣár-bhūd bhūd átithir jā́tavedāḥ ||
Translation
われらの遠く輝くアグニ（Agni）が、暁における見分ける眼のごとく、われらのために礼拝され、また知り得る臨在を据え給え。彼は万有のいのち、死すべき者たちのうちにあって不死——曙とともに生まれ——ジャータヴェーダス（Jātavedas、万生を知る者）がわれらの内なる客となり給え。
