अनु यदीं मरुतो मन्दसानमार्चन्निन्द्रं पपिवांसं सुतस्य । आदत्त वज्रमभि यदहिं हन्नपो यह्वीरसृजत्सर्तवा उ ॥
Transliteration
ánu yád īṃ marúto mandasānám ā́rcann índraṃ papivā́ṃsaṃ sutásya | ā́datta vájram abhí yád ahíṃ hánn ápo yáhvīr asṛ́jat sártavā ú ||
Translation
歓喜するマルト（Maruts）が、搾り出されたソーマ（Soma）を飲みしインドラ（Indra）に随って讃歌を歌ったとき、彼はヴァジュラ（vajra）を取り上げた。塞ぐ蛇アヒ（ahi）を打ち倒すと、力強き聖なる水々を解き放ち、流れ出でしめた。
