गणानां त्वा गणपतिं हवामहे कविं कवीनामुपमश्रवस्तमम् । ज्येष्ठराजं ब्रह्मणां ब्रह्मणस्पत आ नः शृण्वन्नूतिभिः सीद सादनम् ॥
Transliteration
gaṇā́nāṃ tvā gaṇá-patiṃ havāmahe kavíṃ kavīnā́m upamá-śravas-tamam | jyeṣṭhá-rājaṃ bráhmaṇāṃ brahmaṇas-pate ā́ naḥ śṛṇván ūtí-bhiḥ sīda sā́danam ||
Translation
われらは汝を呼び奉る——群の主（Gaṇapati）よ、詩聖たちの詩聖（kaví）よ、比類なく名高き者よ。呪詞とブラフマン（brahman）の最上の王、ブラフマナスパティ（Brahmaṇaspati）よ。われらの声を聞き、数々の護り（ūtí）を携えて来たり、われらの座（sádana）—内なる聖所—に坐したまえ。
