अग्निं मन्ये पितरमग्निमापिमग्निं भ्रातरं सदमित्सखायम् । अग्नेरनीकं बृहतः सपर्यं दिवि शुक्रं यजतं सूर्यस्य ॥
Transliteration
agním manye pitáram agním ā́pim agním bhrā́taram sádam ít sakhā́yam | agnér anī́kaṃ bṛhatáḥ sapáryaṃ diví śukráṃ yájatam sū́ryasya ||
Translation
我はアグニを父と見、アグニを近き縁者と見、アグニを兄弟と見、つねに友と見る。我はアグニの広大なる正面を奉仕する――天にあるその輝ける、礼拝され供犠される顔、太陽の清浄なる光明を。
