हिरण्यपाणिः सविता विचर्षणिरुभे द्यावापृथिवी अन्तरीयते । अपामीवां बाधते वेति सूर्यमभि कृष्णेन रजसा द्यामृणोति ॥
Transliteration
híraṇyapāṇiḥ savitā́ vícarṣaṇir ubhé dyā́vāpṛthivī́ antár īyate | apā́mīvāṁ bā́dhate véti sū́ryam abhí kṛṣṇéna rájasā dyā́m ṛṇoti ||
Translation
金の手をもつサヴィトリ（Savitṛ）、広く見渡す者は、天と地のあいだを行き来する。彼は病厄を払い、太陽へと進み、暗きラジャス（rajas）をもって天を覆う——未だ熟さぬものを覆い守り、熟したものをその癒やしの視座で導くために。
