Sukta 1.103
शुष्णं पिप्रुं कुयवं वृत्रमिन्द्र यदावधीर्वि पुरः शम्बरस्य । तन्नो मित्रो वरुणो मामहन्तामदितिः सिन्धुः पृथिवी उत द्यौः ॥
śúṣṇaṃ pípruṃ kúyavaṃ vṛtrám indra yadā́vadhīr ví púraḥ śámbarasya | tán no mitró váruṇo māmahantām áditiḥ síndhuḥ pṛthivī utá dyáuḥ ||
インドラよ、汝がシュシュナ(Śuṣṇa)、ピプル(Pipru)、クヤヴァ(Kuyava)、そしてヴリトラ(Vṛtra)を討ち、さらにシャンバラ(Śambara)の堅固な城塞を打ち砕いたとき――その勝利の力がわれらを広げ増し給え。ミトラ(Mitra)とヴァルナ(Varuṇa)、アディティ(Aditi)、シンドゥ(Sindhu)の流れ、大地と天よ。
