अ॒हो॒रा॒त्रैर्विमि॑तं त्रिं॒शद॑ङ्गं त्रयोद॒शं मासं॒ यो नि॒र्मिमी॑ते॒ तस्य॑ दे॒वस्य॑ । क्रु॒द्धस्यै॒तदागो॒ य ए॒वं वि॒द्वांसं॑ ब्राह्म॒णं जि॒नाति॑ । उद् वे॑पय रोहित॒ प्र क्षि॑णीहि ब्रह्म॒ज्यस्य॒ प्रति॑ मुञ्च॒ पाशा॑न्
ahorātráir vímitaṃ triṃśád-aṅgaṃ trayodaśáṃ mā́saṃ yó nirmímīte tásya devásya | kruddhásyaitád ā́go yá eváṃ vidvā́ṃsaṃ brāhmaṇáṃ jinā́ti | úd vepaya rohita prá kṣiṇīhi brahmajyásya práti muñca pā́śān
He who by day-and-night measured out the month of thirty parts, yea even the thirteenth month, who meted it forth—of that God. This is the offence against that wrathful God, whoso thus wrongs a knowing Brahmin. Make him quake, O Rohita; waste him away; against the Brahmin-hurter loose back the nooses.
昼と夜とによって量り定め、三十の部分から成る月、さらには第十三の月までも、これを配して作り出した者――その神に対して。かく知あるバラモンを害する者、これぞその憤れる神への罪過である。ローヒタ(Rohita)よ、彼を震えさせよ、衰えさせよ。バラモンを害する者に、縄(pāśa)を返して解き放て。
