This hymn of Kaṇva invokes the Aśvinau to come swiftly in their radiant chariot and drink the sweetest Soma pressed for them, “increasing Ṛta” and restoring well-being. It repeatedly asks the Twin Healers to bestow ratna (jewels/powers) and rayi (prosperity, plenitude) drawn from every realm—earthly depths and heavenly expanses—upon the generous worshipper. The sukta closes by reaffirming the Aśvins’ long-standing intimacy with the Kaṇva ritual sessions, making the invitation both personal and traditional.

Mantra 1
अयं वां मधुमत्तमः सुतः सोम ऋतावृधा । तमश्विना पिबतं तिरोअह्न्यं धत्तं रत्नानि दाशुषे ॥
यह सोम रस इतना मीठा है जैसे शहद हो। अश्विनी कुमार, इसको पियो। यह रस दिन के बाद भी रहता है। जो देते हैं उनको ऐसे वर दो जो खजाने जैसा हो।

त्रिवन्धुरेण त्रिवृता सुपेशसा रथेना यातमश्विना । कण्वासो वां ब्रह्म कृण्वन्त्यध्वरे तेषां सु शृणुतं हवम् ॥
अश्विनी कुमार, अपने सुंदर रथ में आओ। तुम्हारा रथ तीन सीट वाला है और बहुत अच्छा बना है। कण्व ऋषि यज्ञ कर रहे हैं और तुम्हे बुला रहे हैं। उनकी आवाज़ सुनो।

अश्विना मधुमत्तमं पातं सोममृतावृधा । अथाद्य दस्रा वसु बिभ्रता रथे दाश्वांसमुप गच्छतम् ॥
अश्विनी कुमार, यह मीठा सोम रस पियो। तुम लोग चमत्कार करते हो। अपने रथ में अच्ची चीज़ें लेकर आओ। जो श्रद्धा से देता है उसके पास जाओ।

त्रिषधस्थे बर्हिषि विश्ववेदसा मध्वा यज्ञं मिमिक्षतम् । कण्वासो वां सुतसोमा अभिद्यवो युवां हवन्ते अश्विना ॥
यह कुशा घास पर बैठो, तुम्हे सब पता है। यज्ञ में मीठापन मिलाओ। कण्व ऋषि सोम रस निकाल के तुम्हे बुला रहे हैं। अश्विनी कुमार, तुम दोनों का काम में आओ।

याभिः कण्वमभिष्टिभिः प्रावतं युवमश्विना । ताभिः ष्वस्माँ अवतं शुभस्पती पातं सोममृतावृधा ॥
अश्विन भाई, तुमने पहले कण्व ऋषि को बचाया था। उसी तरह हमे भी बचा लो। तुम दोनों अच्छे हो, हमारे लिए सही काम करो। सोम पियो और सच्चाई को बढ़ाओ।

सुदासे दस्रा वसु बिभ्रता रथे पृक्षो वहतमश्विना । रयिं समुद्रादुत वा दिवस्पर्यस्मे धत्तं पुरुस्पृहम् ॥
अश्विन भाई, तुम्हारा रथ है, उसमे खज़ाना लाए हो। तुम्हारे घोड़े मज़बूत हैं, यहाँ आओ। समुंदर से या आसमान से जो धन ला सकते हो, वो हमे दो। हम दिल से चाहते हैं।

यन्नासत्या परावति यद्वा स्थो अधि तुर्वशे । अतो रथेन सुवृता न आ गतं साकं सूर्यस्य रश्मिभिः ॥
नासत्य भाई, तुम कहीं भी हो, दूर हो या किसी के पास। अपना रथ लेकर हमारे पास आओ। सूर्य की रोशनी लेकर आओ, हमारे लिए सही रास्ता लाओ।

अर्वाञ्चा वां सप्तयोऽध्वरश्रियो वहन्तु सवनेदुप । इषं पृञ्चन्ता सुकृते सुदानव आ बर्हिः सीदतं नरा ॥
तुम्हारा रथ सात घोड़ों से आगे आ रहा है। यज्ञ की चमक है उसमे। सोम पीने के लिए आओ। जो लोग अच्छा काम करते हैं, उनके लिए बरकत लाओ। बैठ जाओ यहाँ।

तेन नासत्या गतं रथेन सूर्यत्वचा । येन शश्वदूहथुर्दाशुषे वसु मध्वः सोमस्य पीतये ॥
नासत्य भाई, उस रथ से आओ जैसे सूर्य चमकता है। उस रथ से तुमने जो लोग देते हैं, उनको धन दिया है। सोम का स्वाद दिया है। अब आओ और पियो।

उक्थेभिरर्वागवसे पुरूवसू अर्कैश्च नि ह्वयामहे । शश्वत्कण्वानां सदसि प्रिये हि कं सोमं पपथुरश्विना ॥
हम गानों से अश्विनी कुमारों को बुला रहे हैं। वो दोनों बड़े दानी हैं और मदद के लिए आते हैं। कण्व रिशियों के आश्रम में इन्होंने सोम पिया है। इसलिए हम भी उनसे उम्मीद रखते हैं। आओ हमारे पास आके मदद करो।
