Transliteration

ṛtur janitrī tasyā apaḥ pari makṣū jāta āviśad yāsu vardhate | tad āhanā abhavat pipyuṣī payo ’ṃśoḥ pīyūṣaṃ prathamaṃ tad ukthyam ||

Translation

Ṛtu, die Gebärerin, um sie her die Wasser: schnell, kaum geboren, trat er in jene ein, in denen er wächst. Da wurde sie zur Milchkuh, von Fülle anschwellend; die Milch des Halms, der erste Nektar — dies ist des Hymnus würdig.
