Sukta 2.13
प्रजाभ्यः पुष्टिं विभजन्त आसते रयिमिव पृष्ठं प्रभवन्तमायते । असिन्वन्दंष्ट्रैः पितुरत्ति भोजनं यस्ताकृणोः प्रथमं सास्युक्थ्यः ॥
prajā́bhyaḥ púṣṭiṃ vi-bhájanta āsate rayím iva pṛṣṭháṃ pra-bhávantam āyáte | asínvan dáṃṣṭraiḥ pitúr atti bhójanam yás tā́kṛṇoḥ prathamáṃ sá āsy ukthyáḥ ||
يجلسون يوزّعون القوتَ على الكائناتِ الآخذةِ في التكوّن، كما تُوضَع الثروةُ على ظهرٍ ساندٍ قادرٍ على حملها وإنمائها. والذي لا يشبع يأكل بأنيابه طعامَ الأب—هو الذي صاغ تلك القوى أولاً؛ وهو حقًّا موضوعُ هذا الأُكثا (uktha).
