Sukta 8.39
तत्तदग्निर्वयो दधे यथायथा कृपण्यति । ऊर्जाहुतिर्वसूनां शं च योश्च मयो दधे विश्वस्यै देवहूत्यै नभन्तामन्यके समे ॥
tát-tad agnír váyo dadhé yáthā-yathā kṛpaṇyáti | ūrjā́hutiḥ vásūnāṃ śáṃ ca yóś ca máyó dadhé víśvasyai deváhūtyai nabhantām anyaké samé ||
ดังนั้นอัคนีจึงสถาปนาความอุดมแห่งชีวิตครั้งแล้วครั้งเล่า ตามที่ผู้คนปรารถนาด้วยความขัดสน; เป็นเครื่องบูชาแห่งพลังแด่วสุ (Vasus) พระองค์ทรงวางไว้ในเราซึ่งสันติ ความผาสุก และความรื่นรมย์ เพื่อการเรียกเชิญเทพทั้งมวล—ขอให้พลังฝ่ายตรงข้ามถูกเนรเทศไปที่อื่น.
