Sukta 2.2
एवा नो अग्ने अमृतेषु पूर्व्य धीष्पीपाय बृहद्दिवेषु मानुषा । दुहाना धेनुर्वृजनेषु कारवे त्मना शतिनं पुरुरूपमिषणि ॥
evā́ no agne amṛ́teṣu pū́rvya dhī́ḥ pīpāya bṛhád-diveṣu mā́nuṣā | dúhānā dhenúr vṛ́janeṣu kā́rave tmánā śatínaṃ puru-rū́pam íṣaṇi ||
Assim, ó Agni, nas vastidões imortais, ó Antigo, nutre nosso pensamento nos amplos céus do humano. Como vaca de leite, que nos campos do labor dá ao fazedor, que ela, por sua própria força, ordenhe cem vezes o alimento, multiforme — o impulso do crescimento.
