Sukta 2.2
स इधान उषसो राम्या अनु स्वर्ण दीदेदरुषेण भानुना । होत्राभिरग्निर्मनुषः स्वध्वरो राजा विशामतिथिश्चारुरायवे ॥
sá idhāná uṣásaḥ rā́myāḥ ánu svàrṇá dī́ded aruṣéṇa bhānúnā | hótrābhir agnír mánuṣaḥ sv-adhvaró rājā́ viśā́m átithiś cā́rur ā́yave ||
Aceso, ele brilha seguindo as belas Uṣas, como a própria luz do sol, com seu raio avermelhado. Pelas potências das invocações do Hotṛ, Agni torna-se para o humano o sacrifício bem conduzido; rei dos povos, é o hóspede bem-vindo, belo para o buscador de plenitude.
