ओष्ठाविव मध्वास्ने वदन्ता स्तनाविव पिप्यतं जीवसे नः । नासेव नस्तन्वो रक्षितारा कर्णाविव सुश्रुता भूतमस्मे ॥
óṣṭhāviva mádhvā āsné vádantā stánāviva pipyataṃ jīváse naḥ | nā́sēva nas tanvò rakṣitā́rā karṇā́viva su-śrutā́ bhūtam asmé ||
രണ്ടു അധരങ്ങളുപോലെ വായിൽ മധുരമായ മധു ഉച്ചരിച്ച്—ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് മധുരവചനങ്ങളാകുവിൻ; രണ്ടു സ്തനങ്ങളുപോലെ ഞങ്ങളെ ജീവിക്കാൻ പോഷിപ്പിക്കുവിൻ. രണ്ടു നാസികകളുപോലെ ഞങ്ങളുടെ ദേഹസ്വഭാവത്തിന്റെ രക്ഷകരാകുവിൻ; രണ്ടു കാതുകളുപോലെ ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് സുഷ്രുതരാകുവിൻ—സത്യശ്രവണത്തെ സ്വീകരിക്കുകയും നൽകുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നവർ ആകുവിൻ.
