ओष्ठाविव मध्वास्ने वदन्ता स्तनाविव पिप्यतं जीवसे नः । नासेव नस्तन्वो रक्षितारा कर्णाविव सुश्रुता भूतमस्मे ॥
óṣṭhāviva mádhvā āsné vádantā stánāviva pipyataṃ jīváse naḥ | nā́sēva nas tanvò rakṣitā́rā karṇā́viva su-śrutā́ bhūtam asmé ||
ਦੋ ਹੋਠਾਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਮੂੰਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਿੱਠਾ ਮਧੁ ਬੋਲਦੇ ਹੋਏ—ਸਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਮਿੱਠੇ ਬਚਨ ਬਣੋ; ਦੋ ਥਣਾਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਜੀਵਨ ਲਈ ਪਾਲੋ। ਦੋ ਨੱਕ-ਛਿਦਰਾਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਸਾਡੇ ਦੇਹ-ਸੁਭਾਵ ਦੇ ਰਖਵਾਲੇ ਬਣੋ; ਦੋ ਕੰਨਾਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਸਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਸੁਸ਼੍ਰੁਤ ਬਣੋ—ਸੱਚੇ ਸ਼੍ਰਵਣ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਹਿਣ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੇ।
