अयं सोम इन्द्र तुभ्यं सुन्वे तुभ्यं पवते त्वमस्य पाहि । त्वं ह यं चकृषे त्वं ववृष इन्दुं मदाय युज्याय सोमम् ॥

ayáṃ sóma indra túbhyaṃ sunve túbhyaṃ pavate tvám asya pāhi | tváṃ ha yáṃ cakṛṣé tváṃ vavṛ́ṣa índuṃ mádāya yújyāya sómam ||

このソーマは、インドラよ、汝のために搾られる。汝のために浄め流れる——これを飲みたまえ。汝が道を作り、汝が育て増したその滴、歓喜の雫たるそのソーマは、汝の恍惚のため、また働きに結ぶ軛(くびき)のためにある。
