प्र ते मदासो मदिरास आशवोऽसृक्षत रथ्यासो यथा पृथक् । धेनुर्न वत्सं पयसाभि वज्रिणमिन्द्रमिन्दवो मधुमन्त ऊर्मयः ॥
Transliteration
prá te madā́so madirā́sa āśávo ’sṛkṣata rathyā́so yáthā pṛ́thak | dhenúr na vatsáṃ páyasā́bhi vajríṇam índram índavo mádhu-manta ū́rmayaḥ ||
Translation
ソーマよ、あなたの速き恍惚——酔わせる流れ——は解き放たれ、道をゆく戦車がそれぞれに散りひろがるように走る。蜜に満ちた波よ、乳をもって子牛に寄り添う牝牛のように、金剛を執るインドラへと押し寄せ、われらのうちに彼の勝利の力を堅めるために。
