युवानं विश्पतिं कविं विश्वादं पुरुवेपसम् । अग्निं शुम्भामि मन्मभिः ॥
Transliteration
yúvānaṃ viśpátiṃ kavíṃ viśvā́dam puru-vépasaṃ | agním śumbhāmi mánma-bhiḥ ||
Translation
若きアグニ、民の主、聖賢の詩人（kavi）、万物を食らう者、幾重にも震え動く力をもつ者—われは魂の思い（manman）もて彼アグニを飾り、いよいよ輝かせる。
