उदु ष्य शरणे दिवो ज्योतिरयंस्त सूर्यः । अग्निर्न शुक्रः समिधान आहुतः ॥
Transliteration
úd u ṣyá śaraṇé divó jyótiḥ ayaṃsta sū́ryaḥ | agnír ná śukráḥ samidhāná ā́hutaḥ ||
Translation
天の庇護なる高みで、太陽は光を起こして走らせた。供えにより点ぜられた清らかなアグニ（Agni）のごとく、彼は燃え輝く——人の夜のうちに、見る火焔を呼び覚ます。
