इन्द्रं वृत्राय हन्तवे देवासो दधिरे पुरः । इन्द्रं वाणीरनूषता समोजसे ॥
Transliteration
índraṃ vṛtrā́ya hántave devā́so dadhire puráḥ | índraṃ vā́ṇīr anūṣatā sám ójase ||
Translation
神々は、覆い塞ぐ者ヴリトラを討つために、インドラを先頭に据えた。霊感の言葉（vāṇī）はインドラを歌い上げ、力との合一へと導いた——力が集められ、効力を得るために。
