वृत्राण्यन्यः समिथेषु जिघ्नते व्रतान्यन्यो अभि रक्षते सदा । हवामहे वां वृषणा सुवृक्तिभिरस्मे इन्द्रावरुणा शर्म यच्छतम् ॥
Transliteration
vṛtrā́ṇy anyáḥ samithéṣu jíghnate vratā́ny anyó abhí rakṣate sádā | havā́mahe vāṃ vṛṣaṇā suvṛ́ktibhir asmé indrāvaruṇā śárma yacchatam ||
Translation
汝らの一柱は戦いの中でヴリトラ（Vṛtra）の覆いを打ち砕き、他の一柱は正しき働きの永遠の誓戒を常に護る。われらは整えられた言葉もて汝ら二柱、雄々しき者らを呼ぶ—インドラよ、ヴァルナよ、われらに安らぎと庇護を与えよ。
