प्रति वां सूर उदिते सूक्तैर्मित्रं हुवे वरुणं पूतदक्षम् । ययोरसुर्यमक्षितं ज्येष्ठं विश्वस्य यामन्नाचिता जिगत्नु ॥
Transliteration
práti vāṃ sū́ra údite sū́ktair mitráṃ huve váruṇaṃ pūtádakṣam | yáyor asuryàm ákṣitaṃ jyéṣṭhaṃ víśvasya yā́mann ācítā jigatnú ||
Translation
太陽の昇りにあたり、よく整えられた言葉もて汝らを呼ぶ——浄められた意志をもつミトラとヴァルナを。汝らの主権の力（asurya）は、朽ちずして最長老、世界のあらゆる道程を巡り行く。広き覚知をもって、われらのもとへ来たりたまえ。
