न यं जरन्ति शरदो न मासा न द्याव इन्द्रमवकर्शयन्ति । वृद्धस्य चिद्वर्धतामस्य तनूः स्तोमेभिरुक्थैश्च शस्यमाना ॥
Transliteration
ná yaṃ járanti śarádo ná māsā́ ná dyā́va índram avakarśáyanti | vṛ́ddhasya cid vardhatām asya tanū́ḥ stómebhir uktháiś ca śasyámānā ||
Translation
季節は彼を衰えさせず、月々もまた然り。日々はインドラを引き下ろすことがない。すでに大いに成り、古き者であっても、その威力の身はなお増し栄えよ――われらの讃歌と厳粛なる言葉により讃えられ、顕わにされつつ。
