त्वामग्ने समिधानं यविष्ठ्य देवा दूतं चक्रिरे हव्यवाहनम् । उरुज्रयसं घृतयोनिमाहुतं त्वेषं चक्षुर्दधिरे चोदयन्मति ॥
Transliteration
tvām agne sam-idhānaṁ yaviṣṭhya devā dūtaṁ cakrire havya-vāhanam | uru-jrayasaṁ ghṛta-yonim āhutaṁ tveṣaṁ cakṣur dadhire codayan-mati ||
Translation
アグニよ、汝が燃え起こされるとき、最も若く常に新しき者よ、神々は汝を使者、供物を運ぶ者として定めた。前進の駆けは広く、澄明なるギー（ghṛta）を胎とし、供献により招かれた汝を、彼らは烈しき「眼」として据え、思い（mati）を正しき運行へと駆り立てた。
