तृषु यदन्ना तृषुणा ववक्ष तृषुं दूतं कृणुते यह्वो अग्निः । वातस्य मेळिं सचते निजूर्वन्नाशुं न वाजयते हिन्वे अर्वा ॥
Transliteration
tṛṣú yád ánnā tṛṣúṇā vavákṣa tṛṣúṃ dūtáṃ kṛṇute yáhvo agníḥ | vā́tasya meḷíṃ sacate ni-jū́rvan āśúṃ ná vājayate hinvé árvā ||
Translation
燃える渇きによって食らい物の中に成長するとき、猛きアグニ（Agni）は自らを渇ける使者と成す。彼は風の奔流に結びつき、押し進みつつ、疾き駿馬のごとく、豊穣の獲得へと駆り立てる。
