Agni Jātavedas
この短い讃歌は、ジャータヴェーダス（万物を知る者）としてのアグニを招き、その「駿馬」（迅速で確かな力）に来たって、整えられたバルヒス――聖なる祭場――に座すよう促す。ついで詩人は、惜しみなく与えるアグニに、整った讃辞を捧げ、最後に、供物を神々へ運ぶアグニの輝く光線に呼びかけて、祭儀を推し進め、犠牲を成功裡に成就させよと願う。

प्र नूनं जातवेदसमश्वं हिनोत वाजिनम् । इदं नो बर्हिरासदे ॥
いま、ジャータヴェーダス（Jātavedas）の駿馬——力強く、充溢を運ぶもの——を駆り立てよ。願わくは彼、このわれらの聖なる座（barhis）に来たりて坐せ。

अस्य प्र जातवेदसो विप्रवीरस्य मीळ्हुषः । महीमियर्मि सुष्टुतिम् ॥
このジャータヴェーダス（Jātavedas）——霊感ある勇士に富み、豊かに施す者——に向けて、われは大いなる、よく整えられた讃歌を捧げ持ち上げる。

या रुचो जातवेदसो देवत्रा हव्यवाहनीः । ताभिर्नो यज्ञमिन्वतु ॥
ジャータヴェーダス（Jātavedas）の光条、神々のもとへ供物を運ぶその献供の光によって——彼がわれらの祭祀を動かし、成就へと導きたまえ。
