नृचक्षा एष दिवो मध्य आस्त आपप्रिवान्रोदसी अन्तरिक्षम् । स विश्वाचीरभि चष्टे घृताचीरन्तरा पूर्वमपरं च केतुम् ॥
Transliteration
nṛcákṣā eṣá divó mádhya āsta āpaprivā́n ródasī antárikṣam | sá viśvā́cīr abhí caṣṭe ghṛtā́cīr antárā pū́rvam áparaṁ ca ketúm ||
Translation
この「人を観る者」（nṛ-cakṣā）は天の中ほどに坐し、二つの界と中空（antarikṣa）を満たす。彼は遍く動くもの――酥（ghṛta）の光に輝く流れを見渡し、その間に先と後の徴（しるし）を見分け、過ぎしものと来たるべきものとを弁別する。
