Sukta 1.95

Rishi: Parāśara Śāktya (traditional attribution for RV 1.95–1.99)
Devata: Agni (especially Agni as inner Light/Will moving through the cosmic Mothers)

उद्यंयमीति सवितेव बाहू उभे सिचौ यतते भीम ऋञ्जन् । उच्छुक्रमत्कमजते सिमस्मान्नवा मातृभ्यो वसना जहाति ॥

úd yaṃyamīti savitéva bāhū ubhé sicáu yatate bhīmá ṛñján | úc chukrám átkam ajate simásmān návā mātṛ́bhyó vásanā jahāti ||

彼は上へと持ち上げ、サヴィトリ(Savitṛ)が両腕を掲げるように身を伸ばす。彼は二つの輝く流れを張りつめ、畏るべく、それらを光の濃さへと染め上げる。彼は光明の外衣を押し上げて動かし、この世から古びた覆いを脱ぎ捨て、母たちより新たな衣をまとう。
