यो अध्वरेषु शंतम ऋतावा होता तमू नमोभिरा कृणुध्वम् । अग्निर्यद्वेर्मर्ताय देवान्त्स चा बोधाति मनसा यजाति ॥
Transliteration
yo adhvaréṣu śáṃtama ṛtā́vā hótā tám ū́ námo bhir ā́ kṛṇudhvam | agnír yád vér mártāya devā́ntsá cā bódhāti mánasā yajāti ||
Translation
祭の道程において最も安寧をもたらし、ṛta（宇宙の秩序）を保つホートリ（Hotṛ）——その御方を、礼拝の行いによって汝らのものとなせ。まことにアグニ（Agni）が、死すべき者のために神々を選び取り勝ち得るとき、彼はまた意（manas）において目覚め、心によって祭を執り行う。
