त्वं ह त्यदिन्द्र चोदीः सखा वृत्रं यद्वज्रिन्वृषकर्मन्नुभ्नाः । यद्ध शूर वृषमणः पराचैर्वि दस्यूँर्योनावकृतो वृथाषाट् ॥

Transliteration

tváṃ ha tyád indra codī́ḥ sákhā vṛtráṃ yád vajrin vṛṣa-karman ubhnā́ḥ | yád dha śūra vṛṣa-maṇaḥ parācáir ví dasyū́ṃr yónāv ákṛto vṛthāṣā́ṭ ||

Translation

まことに汝、インドラよ、友なる力を奮い立たせた。雷槌（ヴァジュラ）を執り、偉業をなす者よ、汝がヴリトラ（Vṛtra）を打ち伏せたその時に。さらに、勇士よ、力の歓喜に強き者よ、汝はダスユ（Dasyu）を四方へ追い散らし、闇の胎へと投げ落とした――虚偽に勝利する者よ。
