पीपाय धेनुरदितिॠताय जनाय मित्रावरुणा हविर्दे । हिनोति यद्वां विदथे सपर्यन्त्स रातहव्यो मानुषो न होता ॥

pīpā́ya dhēnúr áditiḥ ṛtā́ya jánāya mitrāvaruṇā havir-dé | hinóti yád vāṁ vidáthē sapáryan sá rā́ta-havyo mā́nuṣo na hótā ||

アディティ——養う牝牛——はṛta(宇宙の正序)を選ぶ民のために満ちふくらむ。ミトラよ、ヴァルナよ、彼女は供献の贈り物を授ける。人のホートリ(Hotṛ)が集会において汝らを奉仕するとき、祭儀を前へと駆り立てる——まことに供物を与える者、人間の祭司として。
