Sukta 1.136
प्र सु ज्येष्ठं निचिराभ्यां बृहन्नमो हव्यं मतिं भरता मृळयद्भ्यां स्वादिष्ठं मृळयद्भ्याम् । ता सम्राजा घृतासुती यज्ञेयज्ञ उपस्तुता । अथैनोः क्षत्रं न कुतश्चनाधृषे देवत्वं नू चिदाधृषे ॥
prá sú jyeṣṭháṃ ni-cirā́bhyāṃ bṛhán námo havyáṃ matíṃ bharatā mṛḷayád-bhyāṃ svādiṣṭháṃ mṛḷayád-bhyām | tā́ sam-rā́jā ghṛtā́sutī yajñé-yajñe úpa-stutā | áthai noḥ kṣatráṃ ná kútaś canā́dhṛṣe deva-tváṃ nú cit ā́dhṛṣe ||
広大なるもの、最年長なるものへの崇敬を先立てよ――思い(マティ)を供物として――久しく存する二柱、憐れみを与える二柱、最も甘美に慈しむ二柱へ。かの二人の主権王は、ギー(清澄酥油)の歓喜に満ち、あらゆる祭儀ごとに讃えられる。かくして彼らの王権(クシャトラ)の力はどこからも侵し得ず、その神性すらも侵し得ない。
