क्षेत्रमिव वि ममुस्तेजनेनँ एकं पात्रमृभवो जेहमानम् । उपस्तुता उपमं नाधमाना अमर्त्येषु श्रव इच्छमानाः ॥
Transliteration
kṣétram iva ví mamús téjanenam ékaṃ pā́tram ṛ́bhavo jéhamānam | úpa-stutā upa-máṃ nā́dhamānā amártyeṣu śráva icchámānāḥ ||
Translation
畑を測り分けるがごとく、彼らは測り縄をもって、震えるその一つの器を測り定めた。讃えられし者らは、至上の相似へと努め励み、不死なる者らのうちに朽ちぬ栄光を求めた。
