Transliteration

pitā hy evaṃ janayati puruṣaṃ puruṣarṣabha |prajñāṃ dadāti cācāryas tasmāt sa gurur ucyate ||

Translation

父はこのようにして人を生み出す、ああ人中の雄よ。だが智慧を授けるのは師である—ゆえに師はグル（導師）と呼ばれる。
