Soma Pavamāna
Este breve himno a Soma Pavamāna alaba a Soma cuando fluye en corrientes ininterrumpidas a través del filtro, como la lluvia que desciende del cielo, avanzando hacia una fuerza abundante (vāja). A medida que el jugo es purificado y «pulido», Soma es concebido como regio, observante de la ley y veloz como un halcón que se posa sobre un tesoro; se le pide que traiga a los adoradores todas las riquezas del cielo y de la tierra.

Mantra 1
प्र ते धारा असश्चतो दिवो न यन्ति वृष्टयः । अच्छा वाजं सहस्रिणम् ॥
Hacia delante avanzan tus corrientes incesantes, como lluvias del cielo, hacia la plenitud mil veces multiplicada de la fuerza (vāja).
Mantra 2
अभि प्रियाणि काव्या विश्वा चक्षाणो अर्षति । हरिस्तुञ्जान आयुधा ॥
Él fluye contemplando todos los amados poderes poéticos (kāvya); el de color leonado, tensando sus armas, las impulsa hacia delante: energías de la acción eficaz.

स मर्मृजान आयुभिरिभो राजेव सुव्रतः । श्येनो न वंसु षीदति ॥
Él, pulido por las fuerzas de vida (āyú), fuerte como un rey y fiel al voto recto, se posa como halcón sobre el tesoro deseado.

स नो विश्वा दिवो वसूतो पृथिव्या अधि । पुनान इन्दवा भर ॥
Tráenos todas las riquezas, del cielo y de la tierra; oh Indu, al purificarte, tráelas hasta nosotros.
