এই সৰু সূক্তত যমজ শক্তি ইন্দ্ৰ আৰু বৃহস্পতিলৈ আহ্বান জনোৱা হৈছে যাতে তেওঁলোকে অৰ্পিত আহুতি আৰু সোম গ্ৰহণ কৰে, আৰু যজমানৰ উক্থ (গম্ভীৰ স্তৱ) আৰু মদ (আনন্দ/উৎসাহ) দ্বাৰা সন্তুষ্ট হয়। দিৱ্য যুগলক দাতাৰ গৃহত নিজকে স্থাপন কৰিবলৈ আৰু ঘোঁৰা, প্ৰাচুৰ্য আৰু “শতগুণ” বৃদ্ধি ৰূপে প্ৰকাশিত ধনী, বিস্তৃত ৰয়ি—সমৃদ্ধি আৰু বিজয়ী বৃদ্ধি—প্ৰদান কৰিবলৈ প্ৰাৰ্থনা কৰা হৈছে।

इदं वामास्ये हविः प्रियमिन्द्राबृहस्पती । उक्थं मदश्च शस्यते ॥
হে ইন্দ্ৰ-বৃহস্পতী, এই হৱিঃ তোমালোকৰ মুখলৈ নিবেদিত—প্ৰিয়। আৰু উক্থ (উচ্চাৰিত স্তোত্ৰ) আৰু মদ (উল্লাস/উন্মাদনা) ঘোষিত হৈছে।
Mantra 2
अयं वां परि षिच्यते सोम इन्द्राबृहस्पती । चारुर्मदाय पीतये ॥
হে ইন্দ্ৰ-বৃহস্পতী, এই সোম তোমালোক দুজনাৰ বাবে চাৰিওফালে ঢালি দিয়া হৈছে; ই মনোহৰ—মদ (আনন্দ-উন্মাদনা)ৰ বাবে, অন্তৰত পান কৰিবলৈ।

आ न इन्द्राबृहस्पती गृहमिन्द्रश्च गच्छतम् । सोमपा सोमपीतये ॥
হে ইন্দ্ৰ-বৃহস্পতী, আমাৰ ওচৰলৈ আহাঁ; আমাৰ গৃহলৈ—ইন্দ্ৰও—গচ্ছতাম। হে সোমপা, সোম-পানৰ বাবে (অন্তৰত) আহাঁ।

अस्मे इन्द्राबृहस्पती रयिं धत्तं शतग्विनम् । अश्वावन्तं सहस्रिणम् ॥
হে ইন্দ্ৰ-বৃহস্পতী, আমাৰ ভিতৰত শতগ্বিন ৰয়ি স্থাপন কৰাঁ—বৃদ্ধিৰ শত প্ৰবাহে ভৰপূৰ, অশ্বৱন্ত (শক্তিৰ অশ্বে সমৃদ্ধ), সহস্ৰিণ (সহস্ৰগুণ বিস্তৃত)।

इन्द्राबृहस्पती वयं सुते गीर्भिर्हवामहे । अस्य सोमस्य पीतये ॥
ইন্দ্ৰা-বৃহস্পতী, সুত সোম পীড়িত হ’লে আমি প্ৰেৰিত গীৰ্ভিৰে তোমালোকক আহ্বান কৰোঁ—এই সোমৰ পান আৰু অন্তৰত গ্ৰহণৰ বাবে।
Mantra 6
सोममिन्द्राबृहस्पती पिबतं दाशुषो गृहे । मादयेथां तदोकसा ॥
হে ইন্দ্ৰা-বৃহস্পতী, দানশীলৰ গৃহত সোম পান কৰা; সেই বাসস্থানত আনন্দিত হওঁক—সেই ঠাই আমাৰ ভিতৰত তোমালোকৰ স্থিৰ আসন হওঁক।
