ఈ చిన్న సూక్తం ద్వయశక్తులైన ఇంద్ర–బృహస్పతులను ఆహ్వానిస్తుంది: అర్పించిన హవిస్సు మరియు సోమాన్ని స్వీకరించి, యజమాని యొక్క ఉక్థ (గంభీర స్తుతి) మరియు మద (ఆనందం/ఉత్సాహం) వల్ల ప్రసన్నులగవలెనని. ఈ దివ్య జంట దాత గృహంలో స్థిరపడీ, ‘రయి’—సమృద్ధి మరియు విజయదాయక వృద్ధి—అనే విస్తారమైన సంపదను, అశ్వాలు, ప్రాచుర్యం, మరియు ‘శతగుణ’ పెరుగుదల రూపంలో ప్రసాదించవలెనని ప్రార్థిస్తుంది.

इदं वामास्ये हविः प्रियमिन्द्राबृहस्पती । उक्थं मदश्च शस्यते ॥

अयं वां परि षिच्यते सोम इन्द्राबृहस्पती । चारुर्मदाय पीतये ॥
హే ఇంద్ర–బృహస్పతి! ఈ సోమము మీ ఇద్దరికోసం చుట్టూరా పోయబడుతోంది—మదము (ఆనందోన్మాదము) కొరకు మనోహరమైనది, అంతరంగంలో పానము చేయుటకు.

आ न इन्द्राबृहस्पती गृहमिन्द्रश्च गच्छतम् । सोमपा सोमपीतये ॥
హే ఇంద్ర–బృహస్పతి! మా వద్దకు రండి; మా గృహానికి—అస్తిత్వ-గృహానికి—రండి; హే ఇంద్రుడా కూడా—సోమపాః! సోమపానార్థం (అంతరంగంలో) పానము చేయండి.

अस्मे इन्द्राबृहस्पती रयिं धत्तं शतग्विनम् । अश्वावन्तं सहस्रिणम् ॥
హే ఇంద్ర–బృహస్పతి! మా లో ‘శతగ్విన్’ రయిని స్థాపించండి—వృద్ధి యొక్క శత ప్రేరణలతో నిండినది; ‘అశ్వావంతం’—చలనశక్తుల అశ్వాలతో సమృద్ధమైనది; ‘సహస్రిణం’—వెయ్యిరెట్లు విస్తారమైనది.

इन्द्राबृहस्पती वयं सुते गीर्भिर्हवामहे । अस्य सोमस्य पीतये ॥
ఇంద్రా, బృహస్పతీ! సోమం పిండబడినప్పుడు, మా స్తుతివాక్యాలతో మేము మిమ్మల్ని ఆహ్వానిస్తున్నాము—ఈ సోమరసాన్ని పానము చేసి అంతరంగంలో గ్రహించుటకై.

सोममिन्द्राबृहस्पती पिबतं दाशुषो गृहे । मादयेथां तदोकसा ॥
ఇంద్రా-బృహస్పతీ! దాత గృహంలో సోమాన్ని పానము చేయండి; ఆ నివాసంలోనే ఆనందించండి—దానిని మా అంతరంలో మీ స్థిరాసనంగా చేయండి.
